Silence of the Halls

I am now in possession of something many a college student would enjoy, but at the worst possible time; It's an empty apartment. During the Christmas holiday.

Everyone has either moved out or are still away for vacations. I arrived Sunday evening and was surprised to find myself alone. Of course the deadbolt was in place, which is incredibly hard to unlock, but I managed. But now I am here. I walked around the apartments that are part of the ward I attend, but nothing. All blackness. It was lonely. It felt like a ghost town.

But the good thing? Strutting. That is allowed. I did a little this morning. It was a tad liberating. Maybe I'll throw a party. But that depends on me getting federal loans, otherwise I'm still a poor college student.

So if you look up in the night and see a lone light on in an apartment complex, think of me. Remember those who may go mad from living inside their own skulls, the silence trapping them in, the walls creeping closer... Well, if I was claustrophobic. But still think of me.

Dude, I loved living alone! Granted, I also love my current living situation, but living alone was great. You can shout Glee songs at the top of your lungs and no one gives you looks.

I wouldn't throw a party with no one else there to help clean up... just saying.

Liberating? Whenever I am home alone I am naked... to the dismay of my roommates mom who showed up one day.

Luckily I'm pretty sure she only saw my bum, otherwise that could've been awkward.

I don't think I could ever walk around naked... I at least need a towel. Ha ha.

I'm just going to agree with everyone who says that living alone is AWESOME. I hope I never have to go back to living with roommates ever again, unless I get married.

Living alone is awesome, but alas, I am but a poor college student who cannot afford to do so.

I have never lived alone. But if I had I'm pretty sure my house would have always been clean and I would have played video games all day. I'm such a loser.

I'll think of you when I see a lone light in an apartment building, but you have to promise to think of me the next time you see a mom on the verge of tears at the grocery store. Cool?

I hope you make the most of this. Living alone is great but I need to be around people sometimes.

Bethany: Deal.

Kellie: Suggestions?

Yeah, that deadbolt is a beast isn't it? It might be because you have a newer key. I have an older key and it works fine, i think...
