Beginnings

School begins anew, no job yet, but at least the T.A.'s are in the math lab. So it's time to get down to business. I am about halfway done with Math and a little less than halfway done with English. I am just beginning Biology unfortunately. All this means I am taking these classes over independent study, and thus with luck and hard work I will be back in regular day time classes come Winter Semester.

Which means I have to make programming a hobby, something to work on an hour or two a night to get back into the groove of things.

There was also an awesome road trip to Rexburg this past weekend, which I may divulge more information about at sometime in the future.

Anywhat, I'm out. I'll post something later. And I'll try to make it funny.

Oh, and this just has to be included:
funny pictures of cats with captions

Black Holes

Have I ever mentioned how much reading is a black hole for me? Serious, if I get into a good book that I like, I won't put it down. I have to finish it, and I give it most of my time.

Such is the case of the Wheel of Time series. I started last Wednesday or so and got into them. Now I'm done with the 3rd book. They're awesome. Very well written, tremendous plot, great characters. Heck, I even dreamed last night I was reading it, but yet I knew I was dreaming. Knowing that I was dreaming about reading the book, I wanted to stop dreaming just in case it spoiled the book, because I didn't want to ruin the actual experience.

Yeah, I'm crazy. And weird. But somewhat free now. Until I succumb going to the library to get the next book.

Whoops

Whoops.

I haven't been posting recently. My apologies. Been occupied with school, low self esteem attacks... So again my apologies for not keeping the blog up to date.

linear Independence

When in the Course of mathematics it becomes necessary for one vector to clarify the non-trivial bands which have separated them with each other and to assume among the powers of the polynomials, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Gaussian Elimination algorithm entitle them, a decent respect to the formulation of matrices requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Heretofore we declare Linear Independence....

Ok, I admit it. I am bored and decided to try and do something fun with what I'm studying.
Have a great day.

Photo Spotlight

I have an amazing friend Rachel who loves photography and is planning on going to Africa next year for a study abroad. She has been taking pictures of a few people and I volunteered to help out her portfolio. And to get some awesome photos.

She hasn't put the photos on her website yet, but here are some that she posted through facebook.

Quite awesome don't you think?

What Made the Red Man Red?

For the past little while I have heard screams of pain and horror coming from the walls. Until today I thought it was just cheap BYU Housing walls. But upon seeing this picture, I realized that it was me. Well to be accurate, my horrible color scheme and fashion sense that has caused the walls to scream in horror. Don't believe me? Look at this!

This is simply too much red for one person to be wearing at once. My shirt is red, my shorts are red, even the milk is red Vitamin D.

Now people, I don't ordinarily care about fashion, but here I am breaking every single rule of fashion out there and should be arrested for at least looking worse than decent. This is sad really. Really really sad.

So clearly something needs to be done to stop these mad atrocities. If you do notice me breaking reality with my lack of color schemes, please let me know, put me down and save the universe a load of trouble.

Low In The Valley

Low in the Valley

Low in the valley,
when higher up would be
picturing the view
enjoying the stillness

But upon slipping
Instead of higher up
Found myself in the valley
In the midst of a fog

Not a fog dense or great
nor in the base of the valley
nor lamenting the situation
Just slipped upon the path

Sitting and reflecting
Bewildered and surprised
Glancing up and glancing down
The fog settling on my heart

Standing and deliberating
Seeing the time has passed
The opportunity to disturb the universe gone
And now not ready to ascend.

Dust off my pants
Look around, and with a sigh
Travel back down to the valley
To ascend again some day.

Dance Parties

Why are they liked so much? Sure you get to have fun doing what you want to do because there is no set rules on how to dance, but other than that, it's not all great.

The music is loud, so it discourages a lot of conversation, its all hip hop or whatever meaning no slow songs to dance with a female, thus having to think creatively on how to do crazy things. So while good, it is brief. It gets hot quick and you don't mingle really cause everyone is just spazzing out.

Yes it is fun to do, fun to move like a fool, but I'm a ballroom/latin dancer at heart. That's where it's at.
